Bulgari Opens Store in San Diego
The new space features a modern design that blends Bulgari’s Roman heritage with San Diego’s coastal spirit.

It is located at 4305 La Jolla Village Drive, within luxury retail destination Westfield UTC.
“The opening of our first Bulgari boutique in San Diego represents an important milestone in the maison’s strategic expansion in the United States,” said Hervé Perrot, president of Bulgari North America.
“As one of Southern California’s premier luxury destinations, San Diego offers an exceptional environment to share Bulgari’s Roman legacy, iconic design, and uncompromising craftsmanship while strengthening our connection with clients in this dynamic market.”
The store features a modern design concept that stays truthful to Bulgari’s DNA with timeless elegance and details that connect the space to San Diego’s creative culture and unique character.
Bulgari said the space is a vision of contemporary Rome, a tribute to its heritage over the centuries.
The exterior showcases a pelmet made of sodalite blue marble featuring the brand’s logo.
The marble's vibrant blue color is reminiscent of the sea, the brand said, and provides a local touch inspired by the resort concept.
The store’s interior features travertine columns and fluted walls as a nod to the typical Roman colonnade with vertical grooves that reference classic Roman architecture and Roman columns.
The Milan-based high-end interior decoration workshop Pictalab created a decorative panel for display in the store by using precious paper adorned with gold.
It depicts two maps—San Diego on the left and Rome on the right—with a Serpenti form in the center to symbolize the dialogue between the histories and identities.
The San Diego side of the map shows Balboa Park, the city’s cultural heart, represented by its architecture and palm trees, a symbol of Southern California.
Totaling 3,500 square feet, the store is a one-floor space that was designed to welcome guests and host events.
It showcases a curated selection of Bulgari’s fine jewelry, watches, and handbags including the “Serpenti,” “Divas’ Dream,” “Tubogas,” “B.Zero1,” and “Octo” collections.
