TAG Heuer Announces New Brand Ambassador at Carrera 60th Anniversary
The watchmaker also unveiled a short film celebrating the timepiece and starring Ryan Gosling.

London—As TAG Heuer celebrates 60 years of the Carrera, it looks to a fresh face.
Last week, the watchmaker announced actress Madelyn Cline as its newest brand ambassador at a party celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Carrera timepiece in London.
“It’s an honor to represent such a historic brand—one that has been worn by icons for almost two centuries,” Cline said.
“I love the high-adrenaline, adventurous spirit of TAG Heuer and I’m excited to wear these classic timepieces from the red carpet to the racetrack.”
Cline is best known in her role as Sarah Cameron in the popular Netflix series “Outer Banks.”
She recently starred in “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.”
Cline has participated in TAG Heuer events in the past, such as the TAG Heuer F1 Miami Experience and the opening of the Century City Boutique, but now makes her role official.
She joins celebrities like Ryan Gosling, Jacob Elordi, Patrick Dempsey, and Alexandra Daddario as a brand ambassador.
At the London anniversary party, TAG Heuer also unveiled a five-minute comedic action film starring Gosling.
Called “The Chase for Carrera,” it’s a meta, behind-the-scenes look at filming a watch commercial when the talent, played by Ryan Gosling, doesn’t want to return the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph to the prop master, played by Vanessa Bayer, when the shoot concludes.
Bayer chases Gosling on a stunt-packed journey to retrieve the watch. The short film was directed by Nash Edgerton and produced by filmmaker David Leitch’s company 87 North. Leitch even plays a small part in the project as the faux commercial’s director.
In the short film, “The Chase for Carrera,” Ryan Gosling wears a blue dial Carrera Chronograph, while Vanessa Bayer wears this Carrera 36mm with pink dial.
Gosling stars in an upcoming Leitch-directed project called “The Fall Guy,” and wears a black and silver “reverse panda” Carrera Chronograph in that film, the watchmaker noted.
Gosling will continue to wear TAG Heuer timepieces in his Hollywood roles in the future. In last year’s Netflix spy thriller “The Gray Man,” he wore a Carrera Three Hands watch.
