Claire’s to Open Shop-in-Shops in Select U.S. Macy’s Stores

The partnership brings Claire’s jewelry and accessories to 20 Macy’s locations in time for the holiday season.

Claire’s is opening shop-in-shops within 20 Macy’s stores across the U.S.
Hoffman Estates, Ill.—Claire’s and Macy’s have announced a partnership that will see the former opening shop-in-shops in Macy’s stores across the U.S. 
 
Opening in time for the holiday season, Claire’s will open stores in more than 20 Macy’s locations nationwide, including eight of its flagships. 
 
They will be in key markets, including Herald Square in New York City; Roosevelt Field in Garden City, New York; South Coast Plaza in Los Angeles; Union Square in San Francisco; Dadeland and Aventura in Miami; Lenox Square in Atlanta; and Ala Moana in Honolulu; as well as locations in Orlando, Las Vegas, and more.
 
The Claire’s shop-in-shops will feature the products the retailer is known for, offering Macy’s shoppers Claire’s’ line of hair accessories, jewelry, and cosmetics in addition to seasonal items for holidays, birthdays, and other occasions. 
 
“Macy’s and Claire’s are two iconic brands in fashion with a longstanding commitment to being destinations for inspirational and accessible style for generations of consumers,” said Claire’s CEO Ryan Vero.
 
“We help celebrate special moments, and with this partnership, we are combining our brand power to reach new customers and serve them with the latest on-trend accessories in time for the holiday shopping season and beyond.” 
 
Claire’s has teamed up with other major retailers before, entering a partnership with Walmart in 2018 to have its product in Walmart stores. It expanded that partnership this fall to 1,200 additional stores as well as 360 shop-in-shop locations within Walmart. 

Claire’s announced plans to go public last fall, filing for an initial public offering just three years after emerging from bankruptcy, though there has been no update on that since. 

It also debuted its first subscription service last year, called “Cdrop,” sending out quarterly themed boxes filled with jewelry, accessories, and more.
