Vicenza, Italy—The Italian Exhibition Group’s event dedicated to vintage jewelry and watches will be back this fall, but this time with several new features.

VO Vintage is scheduled for Sept. 9-11, held as part of the Vicenzaoro September show.

This year’s VO Vintage event is the third edition and will emphasize watchmaking.

Exhibitors include the likes of Robert Maron Watches, Hipster by Andrea Foffi, Karma Pearls Limited, Montegrandi, Francesco Pontillo’s F&F, Barbara Bassi, and Art Decò Bijoux.

The show has selected several independent, contemporary haute horology brands from the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants to attend.

The event will also offer attendees the chance to improve their technical watchmaking skills and hear from experts and historians.

Experts include collectors Auro Montanari and Sandro and Giulio Fratini; Bruno Bergamaschi, founder of the influential Orologi & Passioni forum; and Italian fashion entrepreneur Alessandro Squarzi.

Scheduled events also include FHH classes held by Ugo Pancani on vintage watchmaking topics, like proper maintenance, and educational talks on topics like “Past, present and future of watchmaking,” and “Watchmaking trends, between mechanical savoir faire and the author’s aesthetic style.”

Meanwhile, for the first time at the event, collector Andrea Foffi will exhibit iconic watch the Omega Speedmaster.

“Magister Speedmaster Exhibition. Birth and evolution of an Icon” will comprise 15 timepieces from his private collection to showcase the history of the Speedmaster, from its debut in 1943 to present day.

The exhibition will showcase seven timepiece pairs—the original watches complemented by their modern “re-editions.”

It will also exhibit the platinum model made to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Apollo XI moon landing in 1969.
