Exhibition of Italian Jewelers Coming to New York
Scheduled for May 18-20, “The Italian Jewelry Manifesto” will serve as the launch event for a new initiative.

New York—A three-day event designed to showcase the quality, sustainability and innovation of Italian jewelry is scheduled to take place in New York next month.
From Wednesday, May 18 to Friday, May 20, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), FEDERORAFI and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host “The Italian Jewelry Manifesto.”
The Manifesto is an education and networking event featuring more than 50 Italian jewelry brands at 346 Madison Ave., the headquarters of the new Piazza Italia initiative.
It will include a gala reception on the evening of May 19.
Trend forecaster Paola de Luca’s team at The Futurist, ITA, FEDERORAFI and the Piazza Italia staff curated the list of participating brands to represent all sectors of the Italian jewelry trade, from high jewelry to simple chains.
In a release on the event, organizers stated: “Italian jewelers have been leading the world in jewelry technology and innovation since ancient times. Now, that enduring legacy evolves with ever-more beautiful design, premium quality, craftsmanship, and a vigorous focus on sustainability.
“This unique new workshop event will bring it all together under one roof for the U.S. market to fully explore what ‘Made in Italy’ means today.”
The brands’ spring 2022 collections will be on display for both buyers and press. Interested buyers can learn more and register to attend online.
The Italian Jewelry Manifesto will also serve as the official launch of Piazza Italia.
Founded by former Richline Group CEO Dennis Ulrich, who retired in 2018, and Italy-America Chamber of Commerce President Alberto Milani, the idea behind Piazza Italia is to eliminate barriers to entry and provide continuity for Italian jewelers who want to do business with American retailers.

Piazza Italia is designed as a membership organization that includes a coworking space at 346 Madison Ave., an Italian Renaissance-inspired building that dates to 1915 and is perhaps most notable as the longtime home of the Brooks Brothers flagship store.
The coworking space will serve as an office, showroom and vault for participating brands.
Piazza Italia’s full-time staff will offer various levels of member support, including strategy planning, marketing, wholesale distribution support, and logistics.
