Andrew Bone to Step Down as RJC Executive Director
He will officially leave the role, which he has occupied since the spring of 2015, in March 2019.

London—The Responsible Jewellery Council announced that Andrew Bone will step down as its executive director effective March 27.
The RJC board of directors said it has started a global search to identify his successor. It did not explain why Bone was leaving his post.
He has served as executive director since the spring of 2015. The RJC said in a statement that its membership doubled under his leadership and was able to lay “foundations for sustainable growth in the future.”
While Bone was in the role, the RJC expanded its scope to include silver and colored gemstones.
“We are grateful for Andrew’s leadership at the Responsible Jewellery Council in supporting the continuous improvement in the integrity of the global jewelry supply chain,” said RJC chair David Bouffard.
“His vision has further established the Responsible Jewellery Council as the standards and certification organization for the global jewelry industry. The Board offers our sincere thanks to Andrew for his commitment and service.”
