Reeds Jewelers Expands, Relocates Flagship
The New York-based jeweler is moving its Amherst flagship store to a larger location in nearby Snyder.

The new store is under construction and expected to open in May 2027, according to local news.
It will be larger than the previous location, with more than 12,285 square feet of dedicated jewelry retail space.
The relocation represents a new chapter for the fine jeweler, which was founded in 1912.
The business has been in the Zimmer family since 1932 and is currently led by Jeffrey Zimmer, the third-generation owner of the business, who also serves as president and CEO.
“It was really time for us to move and expand to keep evolving our business,” said Zimmer.
“We’ve been serving this community for over a hundred years, and this expansion gives us an opportunity to create new jobs and continue investing in our associates.”
The jeweler also relocated its Syracuse location earlier this year, a project that Zimmer noted in his inductee feature in the 2025 Retailer Hall of Fame issue.
The new showroom reflects the retailer’s commitment to delivering an elevated client experience, it said.
The showroom features a thoughtfully designed space with expanded displays, private consultation suites, and refined interiors that complement the artistry and craftsmanship of the retailer’s fine jewelry offerings, Reeds Jewelers said.
It opened in March at 100 Dewey Ave. in Fayetteville, New York.
“Our new Fayetteville showroom allows us to provide an even more personalized and elevated experience for our clients while continuing our long-standing commitment to quality, integrity, and exceptional service throughout Central New York,” Zimmer said.
