Gemfields’ H1 Revenue Jumps 72%
The miner’s ruby and emerald auctions brought in a combined $102.9 million.
Gemfields has released its interim financial results for the six months ending June 30.
London—Gemfields Group has released its first-half results for 2026.
For the six months ending June 30, the company reported total auction revenue of $102.9 million, a 72 percent increase from $60 million in the first half of 2025.
The Montepuez Ruby Mine (MRM) continues to experience lower premium ruby output at 0.025 carats per tonne in the first half.
Gemfields said it is focused on improving grade outcomes, mining areas believed to contain higher-grade material.
The new processing plant at MRM, known as PP2, made “a meaningful contribution” to production volume in the first half, the miner said.
It is expected to achieve full commission capacity later this year.
Kagem, its emerald mine in Zambia, maintained healthy premium emerald production during the first half, the miner said.
However, higher fuel prices, exchange rate pressures, and increased mining activity impacted operating costs.
Net debt was $44.2 million as of June 30, before auction receivables of $33.3 million.
The miner will provide more commentary on the first half in its interim results on Sept. 25.
