Zillion Announces 2024 ‘Women in STEM’ Scholarship Winner
Marina Mekhaeil studies engineering at the University of Houston.

The scholarship was created to aid and empower women to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math, Zillion said.
It is designed to cover a portion of tuition costs for a female student majoring in a STEM discipline at an accredited U.S. college or university.
Mekhaeil is studying mechanical engineering at the University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering.
Chosen out of nearly 100 applicants, she was selected for her passion for robotics and software programming, as well as her strength of character and inspiring personal story, Zillion said.
Zillion said the scholarship is “profoundly important” to the company, noting that its innovation is directly attributed to a talented and diverse team well-represented by women in engineering and leadership roles.
“Zillion is rooted in creativity, learning, and improving experiences,” said Adam Black, managing director at Zillion.
“Mekhaeil has demonstrated a keen ability to embrace these skills while encouraging others, and particularly women, to advance in STEM. We are so excited to award our 2024 scholarship to a young person with tremendous drive and curiosity and know that she will have a meaningful impact in her chosen field.”
