3 Industry Organizations to Collaborate on New Conference
The Plumb Club, JCK, and Jewelers Mutual plan to hold a two-day, retailer-focused forum in New York City in March 2024.
New York—The Plumb Club is partnering with JCK on a new two-day educational event that will take place in New York City next March.
Sponsored by Jewelers Mutual, the “Symposium ‘24” leadership conference is slated to take place March 10 and 11, 2024, in an event space on the corner of Madison Avenue and 45th Street in Midtown Manhattan.
According to the press release announcing the event, The Plumb Club will invite industry leaders, top retail executives, and key buyers to attend Symposium ’24, which it describes as a “limited-seating educational opportunity.”
Each day will begin with breakfast, followed by a keynote speech. After the keynote, attendees will attend the education sessions of their choice, for which they will pre-register.
Organizers said they’ve created a content committee to identify potential speakers and topics for the symposium.
They plan to bring in “leading world-class authorities” to give seminars, talks, and roundtable discussions on a variety of topics, including general business, marketing, and current trends impacting both merchandising and product mix.
Lunch will be provided, and the days will end with a networking cocktail mixer.
“An informed and knowledgeable industry is beneficial for everyone involved in it, from retail C-suite executives to the key personnel making purchasing decisions,” said president of Marathon Company, Roger Forman, who is currently The Plumb Club president.
“Helping them stay current with the most up-to-date insights and upcoming trends across a variety of categories is key. Symposium ‘24 further connects with two key pillars of The Plumb Club, which are education and innovation in the jewelry space.”
The new event will follow the 2024 Gem Awards, scheduled for March 8.
It also coincides with the JA New York Spring show, scheduled for March 10-12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
