Bulova Revamps 1970s Jet Star Watches
Three updated models join the watchmaker’s “Classics” collection.
This 40mm Jet Star timepiece with gold-tone over stainless steel case and butterscotch dial is one of three new renditions of a Bulova 1970s classic.
New York—Bulova has debuted three new Jet Star timepieces to its “Classics” collection.
Originally launched in 1973, the American watchmaker has dipped into the archives to reinvigorate the model.
The new models feature proprietary Bulova Manufacture movements and boast “extreme accuracy,” the watchmaker said.
The design hearkens to the Jet Star’s original era, however, with the same style hands, markers, and bracelets.
The original “turtle-shaped” case has been reimagined in a more angular, 40mm shape. The three dial colors have a dégradé effect and are rendered in the original Jet Star colors.

The first has a merlot dial and a stainless steel case and bracelet with a double press deployant buckle.
The second has a butterscotch dial, gold-tone stainless steel case, and perforated brown leather strap with yellow contrast stitching and a three-piece buckle.
Each of these models retails for $494.
The third has a bright white dial with blue accents and red hands and indices. The stainless steel model has a stainless steel bracelet and comes with an extra blue leather strap.

Limited to only 7,300 editions, it comes in a special numbered box set. It is priced at $695.
