Boss Logics Adds to Team, Introduces Booking System for Vegas

The company has appointed Michael Schechter as director of business development.

Boss Logics’ new director of business development, Michael Schechter, brings over two decades of experience working at the intersection of fine jewelry and modern technology.
New York–Approaching the Las Vegas trade shows, BOSS Logics has announced a new executive, as well as a new appointment booking and scheduling system for retailers and brands to use for free ahead of the event.

The technology solutions provider has welcomed Michael Schechter as its new director of business development, where he will focus on account and partner outreach and product strategy development.

Schechter has over two decades of experience helping brands and retailers optimize digital channels and drive sales growth online.

"Michael brings a unique industry point of view, and his deep roots in the jewelry industry mean that he literally grew up with the DNA of the industry around him," said Zach Lipsky, founder and CEO of Boss Logics.

"In addition, his creativity and technical background will be the bridge that takes us and our users forward. Michael represents the next generation of the Boss Logics platform."

Schechter helped his third-generation family business, Honora, thrive digitally as the web emerged as a priority for jewelers in the late '90s.

He stayed on after the business was acquired in 2013 by the Berkshire Hathaway-owned Richline Group, and served as the primary business manager for the group-owned e-commerce website Gemvara.

In that role, he helped expand Gemvara's made-to-order e-commerce functionality into an omnichannel sales experience, partnering with Helzberg Diamonds, Macy's and most recently, Buffalo-based Reeds Jewelers.

"I'm honored and excited to join Boss Logics in their mission to connect the jewelry industry," said Schechter.

"The functionality that Zach and the team have already developed is a leap forward in software crafted especially for jewelers. BOSS Logics' commitment to innovating from within rather than attempting to disrupt it from outside is exactly what is needed as jewelers truly begin to embrace digital as part of their omnichannel experience."

Boss Logics’ newest offering, Boss Logics Connect, isa “simple and effective” appointment booking and scheduling system for retailers and brands. The system provides compressive dashboards and integrations to track appointments and ensure smooth facilitation, the company said.

The company has partnered with the JCK and Luxury shows to offer free access to a version of the tool, “Connect for Trade Shows” to all show participants and their retail customers to use from now through the duration of the show.

"We're excited to introduce Boss Logics Connect ahead of the Las Vegas Jewelry Market Week. We look forward to making it as simple as possible for show attendees to book appointments and maximize their time at the shows,” Lipsky said.

“Beyond the shows, Boss Logics Connect aims to be the best way for every jewelry brand and retailer to offer appointments, send reminders, and manage schedules year-round in one convenient location."

Within the software, brands can create custom landing pages with location information, available associates, and event descriptions.

Customers can see available appointment times and request appointments. Unified calendars and text reminders are also available.

Vendors can visit this Boss Logics Live page to sign up for the free Connect for Trade Shows offering.

An ongoing premium version will also be introduced during the Las Vegas trade shows.

Retailers can schedule time with BOSS Logics during Luxury, and at Plumb Club throughout the JCK show, to learn more.
