Pomellato Buys Into Italian Goldsmith
The brand has purchased a minority stake in Costanzo & Rizzetto.
Pomellato champions traditional Italian goldsmithing, making moves to keep the craft alive into the future. To that end, the company recently purchased a minority stake in goldsmithing company Costanzo & Rizzetto.
Valenza, Italy—Pomellato has announced a partnership with Italian goldsmiths Costanzo & Rizzetto.
The brand has purchased a minority stake in the Valenza, Italy-based company.
In a statement, Pomellato said Costanzo & Rizzetto’s expertise will assist its growth. The purchase will also allow it to beef up Costanzo & Rizzetto’s manufacturing capabilities.
The partnership aids Pomellatto’s mission to maintain the high standards of Italian jewelry craftsmanship in modern times.
Since its founding in 1967, Pomellato has championed its Milanese goldsmithing and underlined the importance of preserving the tradition.
In recent years, the company partnered with the Galdus Goldsmith Academy to form Pomellato Virtuosi, a school that trains goldsmiths in traditional craft.
Commenting on the Costanzo & Rizzetto equity partnership, Pomellato CEO Sabina Belli said: “This is an important milestone in Pomellato’s development.
“We are very thankful that Davide Costanzo and Gregorio Rizzetto have agreed to partner with us, and together we will embark on a very exciting journey where our combined expertise and future cross fertilization will bring our jewelry-making one step further.”
Recently, the Kering-owned brand debuted videos speaking out about violence against women.
Pomellato often promotes female empowerment timed with International Women’s Day.
