Pandora CMO Carla Liuni Steps Down

Liuni cited personal reasons as the cause of her departure.

Carla Liuni, Pandora’s chief marketing officer, will step down from her role at the end of the month after two years with the company.
Copenhagen, Denmark—Pandora’s Chief Marketing Officer Carla Liuni will leave the company after two years, effective at the end of the month.
 
She cited personal reasons as the catalyst for her departure and has chosen to return home to Italy to be with her family.
 
Liuni, who joined the jewelry company in March 2020, formerly served as vice president of global marketing and communication at Bulgari.
 
She also worked at Procter & Gamble for nearly 20 years, serving as general manager for the Prestige division, which included fragrance, makeup and skincare brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and Hugo Boss.
 
Liuni also worked in various other brand, sales, and management positions at the consumer goods giant, running businesses across Europe and Asia.
 
“Pandora touches the lives of millions of consumers, and I am happy and proud to have been part of the exciting growth journey together with fantastic colleagues,” said Liuni.
 
CEO Alexander Lacik said, “We understand Carla’s wish to return home for personal reasons, and now is a good time to pass the baton.”
 
Liuni joined Pandora just after its brand relaunch in 2019, and Lacik cited her as a driving force behind its turnaround.
 
During her tenure, the jewelry company expanded its marketing activities and invested in digital, data analytics, and brand partnering.
 
Its marketing efforts include the introduction of “Brilliance,” its lab-grown diamond line, and the relaunch of its Pandora Me collection, crafting a campaign of TikTok stars and celebrities to draw in Gen Z and Millennial customers.
 
Pandora is looking externally to fill the position and expects to appoint a new CMO by summer.
 
Until a replacement is found, Lacik will oversee the global marketing efforts.
