Zillion Awards 2022 Women in STEM Scholarship
Alisa Garcia is a computer science major at Purdue University.
Zillion created the scholarship to help and empower women to enter STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
The company said it chose Garcia, a computer science major at Purdue University, for her “undaunted ability to meet challenges” and for being a role model to young women interested in those areas.
The scholarship covers a portion of tuition costs for a female student majoring in a STEM discipline at an accredited college or university in the United States.
“Zillion values curiosity and a courage to challenge the status quo, and Ms. Garcia has embraced these guiding principles,” said Managing Director Adam Black.
“We are overjoyed to award this year’s Zillion Women in STEM Scholarship to Ms. Garcia and look forward to watching her excel and apply her talents in computer science while continuing to mentor others.”
