These Were the Best SAG Award Jewelry Moments

Jessica Chastain, Lady Gaga, and Selena Gomez were among the best dressed.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role winner Jessica Chastain (“The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) wore De Beers earrings and rings at the SAG Awards, held Sunday night in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles—Following controversy over a lack of diversity in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the Golden Globes weren’t televised in 2022, but red-carpet jewelry lovers finally got their awards show fix thanks to the SAG Awards.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held Sunday night in Los Angeles, with stars like Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Reese Witherspoon donning lots of bling.

We’ll start with this editor’s favorite look of the night—an Oscar de la Renta-clad Selena Gomez, who starred in Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short, in a $1 million Bulgari diamond collar.

The high jewelry “Serpenti” necklace featured 37.04 carats of diamond pavé with two pear-shaped emeralds for the snake’s eyes, all set in white gold.

Gomez topped the look off with a high jewelry ring in platinum with a 9.89-carat cushion-cut emerald and diamonds, and two pairs of earrings: white gold earrings with 1.51-carat total weight round brilliant-cut diamonds, 40 fancy step-cut diamonds, and two additional round brilliant-cut diamond drops; as well as a pair of round brilliant-cut studs.

Lady Gaga is a perennial purveyor of great red-carpet drama. This was arguably her best jewelry look yet.

The “House of Gucci” star wore an Armani Privé gown, but the real excitement was in her Tiffany & Co diamond necklace.

Gaga donned the “Schlumberger Flowers and Leaves” necklace in 18-karat yellow gold and platinum with diamonds from the 2022 Tiffany Blue Book Collection.

Her diamond earrings and 8-carat diamond ring were also from the now LVMH-owned jeweler.

Dame Helen Mirren defined ethereal in her pink Dolce & Gabbana gown with appliques and pink headband.

Naturally, pink sapphires were mandatory to complete the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award winner’s ensemble.

Her sapphire and white diamond earrings were by Harry Winston.

“Handmaid’s Tale” star Madeline Brewer had the night’s most design-forward jewelry look, opting for an avant-garde aesthetic over Old Hollywood, which was the dominant style of the evening. The risk was a success.

With hair pulled back, Brewer’s W.Rosado earrings were on full display. From the “Tribu” collection, meaning tribe in Spanish, French, and Italian, the white gold earrings feature black nano ceramic and 14.02 carats of white diamonds.

The graphic pair are at once an ode to the universality of certain tribal motifs from around the globe and Art Deco style, an unusual match made in heaven.

Synonymous with glamour, Old Hollywood style endures for a reason, as actress and producer Reese Witherspoon demonstrated.

Witherspoon made an argument for bringing back the jewelry suite. She topped off her romantic Schiaparelli gown with side-swept hair and exquisite Cartier jewelry; specifically, an elaborate white gold and diamond necklace with diamond drop and diamond earrings.

She finished the look with an emerald, chalcedony, sapphire, and diamond ring for a pop of color.

With the night’s most coveted accessory in hand, the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role winner Jessica Chastain, who won for “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” donned earrings fit for a winner.

The De Beers “Reflections of Nature Namib Wonder Climber Earrings” feature 14.56 total carats of diamonds. Chastain also wore the accompanying “Reflections of Nature Namib Wonder Open Ring” with 3.98 carats of diamonds, and “Reflections of Nature Nambi Wonder Ring” with 2.59 carats of diamonds.

Like Chastain, Elle Fanning also opted for a suit that belied the extravagant necklace her bowtie nearly covered.

Proving killer jewels can be styled much more casually than with a ballgown, Fanning donned a Cartier necklace with her Gucci suit, as well as Pasquale Bruni diamond rings.
