Lusix Adds Natural Diamond Veteran to Leadership Team

The lab-grown diamond producer welcomed Eyal Axelrod as its new vice president of sales and marketing.

Eyal Axelrod, who worked in the natural diamond industry for two decades, is the new vice president of sales and marketing at lab-grown diamond producer Lusix.
Rehovot, Israel—Lab-grown diamond producer Lusix has added a natural diamond veteran to its leadership team.
 
Eyal Axelrod, whose diamond industry experience spans two decades, will join the company as its vice president of sales and marketing.
 
Prior to joining Lusix, he worked for I. Hennig & Co., one of the largest De Beers brokers and consulting companies in the diamond world.
 
After receiving his MBA from Tel Aviv University, majoring in marketing and strategy, Axelrod was promoted to lead the company’s Israel office.
 
At Lusix, Axelrod will be tasked with leading the company’s sales and marketing strategy, including forging new partnerships and supporting the “positive positioning” of lab-grown diamonds, said the company in a press release about his hire.

Lusix achieved the SCS Global Responsibly Grown Diamond certification in 2021.
 
Axelrod’s hiring follows the expansion of the lab-grown company’s production capacity. It has a new growing facility in the works in Israel.
 
“After spending many years in the diamond industry, I believe the timing is right to move into the lab-grown diamond market,” said Axelrod.
 
“My aim is now to support the growth of the company by developing and leading our sales and marketing strategy globally.”
