New York—For those interested in attending the Women’s Jewelry Association’s Awards for Excellence, early-bird pricing for tickets is available through the end of the month.
Slated for Oct. 20, the event will be held at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City and will give those not in attendance the chance to tune in virtually.
The fundraising event will celebrate the Visionary Award winners: Borsheims CEO Karen Goracke and Fern Mallis, creator of New York Fashion Week and former executive director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
During the event, WJA will also talk about the importance of operating a responsible business model and showcase industry partners doing just that.
The presentation will include a keynote from Tensie Whelan, the former president of Rainforest Alliance and the current director of New York University’s Center for Sustainable Business.
The event will feature an extended cocktail hour, a theater-style program, and an afterparty to mingle with industry leaders and colleagues.
The gala directly supports WJA’s diversity, equity, and inclusions programs as well as responsible business and sustainability education scholarships for members.
Tickets are currently available online
with early-bird pricing through Sept. 30.
Sponsorships are also available to support the event and WJA’s programs.
Meanwhile, those wishing to donate directly to the WJA Foundation can do so on the WJA website
The association will also host an online auction on Oct. 1 as another way to raise money. Details about that are forthcoming.
