Luxury jewelry experience lands in Christmas Book

New York--One of the “Fantasy Gifts” in the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book this year is a custom-made locket designed in collaboration with Monica Rich Kosann, a present with a $100,000 price tag attached.
The recipient of this lavish gift will be flown to the German town of Idar-Oberstein to meet with Kosann, who will help choose a stone and begin creating the locket. The final piece, as well as a hand painted-rendering of it, will be flown to the recipient’s home.
The gift recipient also is invited to join Kosann in New York, where the designer will photograph her (or him) with their family for a portrait to be placed in the locket.
A range of other jewelry gifts are included in the annual Christmas Book, which is well known for its lavish offerings, like last year’s $2 million Forevermark experience.
An assortment of 18-karat gold and diamond jewelry from Roberto Coin, ranging in price from $3,000 to $27,000, is listed in the book, as well as a necklace and earrings jewelry suite by Oscar de la Renta that features Swarovski crystals and totes a price tag of $1,350.
Shinola’s “Runwell Sport” chronograph wristwatches also made the Christmas Book cut. They are available in blue and black, and green and brown, for $875 each.
The book has four David Yurman bracelets, made in sterling silver, rhodium-plated sterling silver and 18-karat rose and yellow gold, all embellished with diamonds. The bracelets range in retail price from $2,750 to $18,500.
Fashion jewelry also is listed in the Christmas Book: Kendra Scott’s 14-karat gold-plated brass earrings are available with rose quartz, opaque black glass or iridescent slate ($85 each, retail) along with pieces from Sydney Evan and José & Maria Barrera.
In addition to the custom-made-with-Kosann locket, other 2014 Fantasy Gifts include two tickets to Paris and a meeting with Olivier Creed, who will create a custom scent (perfume) for the participants. The trip also includes five-star accommodations, white-glove car service and private tours, all for $475,000.
