AGS Announces New Board of Directors

New to the American Gem Society’s board of directors for 2021/2022 are retailers William Farmer Jr. of Farmer’s Jewelry, left, and Rick Beckett of Skeie’s Jewelers.
Las Vegas—The American Gem Society has announced its new board of directors for 2021/2022.
The organization usually holds the election at its Conclave event during the annual membership meeting, but since the event is in September this year, held a virtual meeting to vote.
Joining the board are William Farmer Jr. of Farmer’s Jewelry in Lexington, Kentucky, and Rick Beckett of Skeie’s Jewelers in Eugene, Oregon.
The board’s Executive Committee for 2021/2022 is as follows.
--President: Michael Richards, CG;
--President-Elect: Lisa Bridge, CG;
--Secretary: Alexis Padis, CGA;
--Sr. Advisor: William Farmer, Jr.; and
--Treasurer: Larry Rickert.
Chairs of the various committees are also as follows.
--AGS Laboratories Advisory Committee: John Carter, CGA;
--Conclave Subcommittee: Alexis Padis, CGA;
--Education Committee: Sarah Person, CG;
--Finance, Audit & Legal Committee: Larry Rickert;
--Gemological Sciences Committee: Bryan Moeller, CGA;
--International Guilds Council: Marc Altman, CGA;
--Membership Committee: Mitchell Clark, CG; and
--Young Titleholders Committee: Sarah Nanasi Russell, CG.
Directors-at-large include Ryan Berg, CG; Sarin Bachmann; Caryl Capeci; Amanda Coleman-Phelps, CGA; Scott Murphy; Niveet Nagpal; Scott Udell; and Rick Beckett, RJ.
Meanwhile, exiting the board this year are Georgie Gleim and Ronnie VanderLinden.
“The American Gem Society would like to express their gratitude to Georgie Gleim, CG, and Ronnie VanderLinden, who are rolling off the board this year,” AGS said in a press release.
“Georgie and Ronnie gave their time and expertise to the membership by attending board meetings, volunteering, collaborating, and supporting the AGS through their service on committees and in many other ways.”
