New president, vice president named at Tivol
Brian Butler now is the president of the Kansas City, Mo. retailer while Hunter Tivol McGrath has been named vice president.
Kansas City, Mo.--Brian Butler now is the president of Tivol while Hunter Tivol McGrath has been named vice president.
Cathy Tivol remains CEO of the two stores, located in Kansas City, Mo. and Overland Park, Kan.

McGrath is Tivol’s son and marks the fourth generation of the family to work at the company.
A graduate gemologist, he first joined the business in 2011 as a sales associate learning diamond buying and long-term strategic planning.
McGrath has a master’s in accounting from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and said he has always been interested in the technical aspects of the business.
Butler, formerly general manager at Tivol, spent time in Brazil as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange program, buying gemstones directly from miners and visiting the Brazilian fine jewelry company H. Stern while he was there.
He joined the jewelry industry in 1985 and came on board at Tivol in 1998, where he was involved in the construction and remodeling of its locations as well as managing staff and business strategies.
