In Tucson, introductions from an emerging designer
At the AGTA GemFair, designer Babette Shennan is showcasing additions to both her Gingko and Rivulet collections.
She won the Emerging Designer Award at the Centurion show in Scottsdale last year.
This year, in Tuscon, she introduced additions to her collections.
Shennan currently creates in two distinct lines. The Gingko collection features the motif of the gingko leaf--a symbol of longevity, hope and peace--and its various shapes and forms in gold and sterling silver, accented with colored stones.
The Rivulet collection, meanwhile, features organic, linear curves combined with pave-set stones, like sapphires, emeralds, and rubies in ombre or mosaic patterns.
At the AGTA GemFair in Tucson, Shennan is displaying a number of additions to both of these collections as well as one-of-a-kind pieces.
The jewels she is showcasing include carved gemstone pieces and new stacking rings in precious metals both with and without colored stones, which Shennan noted that she also is pushing as bridal jewelry.
