New York--Oscar Heyman has announced that it has joined a number of other jewelers in being designated under the “Made in NY” initiative, which recognizes and celebrates the city’s fashion sector by supporting Big Apple-based brands and designers.
Being a part of the initiative means that its jewelry meet the highest standards of quality, design and craftsmanship and that its operations are fully based in New York.
Oscar Heyman has been manufacturing jewelry in its Madison Avenue location since 1912.
The family-run company, which is now run by second- and third-generation Heymans, has a storied history that was recently illustrated in a book from The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, “Oscar Heyman: The Jewelers’ Jeweler.”
