Piece of the Week: JAR’s Auction Earrings
The aluminum earrings sold at Sotheby’s Fine Jewels sale this week.
Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels sale might get all the glory, but the auction house’s concurrent Fine Jewels sale is filled with plenty of just as covetable treasures.
Held this week, the jewelry auction featured seven pairs of aluminum ear clips from the always in-demand Parisian designer JAR.
All sold for more than their pre-sale estimates, with the highest bid going to this “Piece of the Week” pair, rendered in two shades of green, which were featured in the Fine Jewels promotional imagery.
Slated to earn between $3,000 and $5,000, they ultimately fetched a cool $18,750.
