Actress Jennifer Tilly was the guest of honor Tuesday night when Bulgari held a dinner at its flagship store on Fifth Avenue, paying tribute to all the glamorous women who have donned the Italian jewelry brand over the years.

Actress Jennifer Tilly was the guest of honor Tuesday night when Bulgari held a dinner at its flagship store on Fifth Avenue, paying tribute to all the glamorous women who have donned the Italian jewelry brand over the years.
During the course of the evening Tilly, whose performance in Woody Allen’s Bullets Over Broadway earned her an Academy Award nomination, told the story of how she won the Bulgari “En Tremblant” brooch at the December 2011 auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry--but only after being outbid on a numerous other pieces by none other than the brand itself.

No dinner at Bulgari would be complete without jewels on the table. High jewelry pieces from the brand’s newest Diva Collection were displayed under glass-domed flower arrangements while the tables were named for Mediterranean seaside towns, such as Porto Ercole.
Designer Kara Ross marked the opening of her New York flagship store, located at 60th Street and Madison Avenue, on Tuesday. The store showcases the designer’s gold, diamond and gemstone jewelry as well as her exotic-skin handbags.

Swatch Group-owned luxury watch brand Breguet brought its traveling exhibition “Breguet the Innovator. Inventor of the Tourbillon” to its flagship boutique in New York this week, its last stop on the U.S. leg of the tour.
The exhibition is a retrospective of the tourbillon. It has traveled across Asia and Europe since its unveiling in Geneva at the beginning of the year. The tourbillion exhibition premiered in the United States on Oct. 3, at the Breguet boutique in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The Platinum Guild International (PGI) hosted a breakfast Friday in New York for retailers, manufacturers and members of the press. The focus of the event was PGI’s recent marketing activities, which include a newly introduced tool to help retailers understand how to sell to “Millennials,” the name of the generation of young adults between the ages of about 18 to 33.
Those in attendance included PGI President Huw Daniel, pictured here, and Kevin Reilly, PGI’s director of business development.
