Gemstone Spotlight: Takat
The Takat family takes its gemstones seriously. The company’s founder, Haji Nisar Ahmed Takat, came from an old Indian family of precious stone craftsmen.
A total of 14.21 carats of oval-shaped emeralds and 7.35 carats of diamonds were set in 18-karat white gold to create these earrings ($700,144).

Today, three generations of family are involved in the business and Takat has gained an international reputation for finding the highest quality stones.
The company takes exceptional emeralds, tanzanite, Paraiba tourmaline and sapphires, among many other rare and unique stones, and accents them with diamonds to create a look that’s red carpet ready.

A total of 14.21 carats of oval-shaped emeralds and 7.35 carats of diamonds were set in 18-karat white gold to create these earrings ($700,144).
A 24.87-carat tanzanite oval cabochon is at the center of this ring, surrounded by 1.60 carats of round diamonds and made in 18-karat white gold ($89,373).
These earrings feature 8.40 carats of Paraiba tourmaline accented with 4.52 carats of diamonds all in 18-karat white gold ($93,601).

At center of these 18-karat white gold earrings are 13.94 carats of pear-shaped Zambian emeralds, accented with 4.28 carats of diamonds ($775,509).
This 18-karat white gold ring features a princess-cut, 19.54-carat tanzanite center stone with 6.20 carats of diamond accents ($105,492).
These 18-karat white gold earrings from Takat boast 14.82 carats of emeralds surrounded by 14.11 carats of round, pear, marquise and oval-shaped diamonds ($861,538).
Another Paraiba tourmaline, this one weighing 14.16 carats, is the center stone of this 18-karat white gold ring with 2.92 carats of diamond accents ($164,646).
An 18-karat white gold ring, boasting a 30.46-carat tanzanite cushion-cut cabochon and 4.84 carats of diamonds ($150,338)
In this stunning necklace, a 108.88-carat Colombian emerald is surrounded by 25.25 carats of round, marquise and pear-shaped diamonds ($4.5 million).
