At Centurion, Nanis returns to classic gold
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Italian brand Nanis is returning to its roots with bold gold pieces, including a line of jewelry that can change shape to create new pieces or different looks.

The “Trasformista” collection features a line of pieces that can change into another piece with a simple hand motion, such as twisting or untwisting chain links to turn a bracelet into a necklace. They also contain a new clasp that makes it easier for the wearer to close the piece herself.
Pieces in the line are made in 18-karat gold with diamond or sapphire accents.
The “Cachemire” collection, meanwhile, was inspired by cashmere wool and its soft texture, with hand-engraved details and paisley shapes meant to represent “the totality of life within the drop,” according to the company.
Both collections debuted at the Centurion show in Scottsdale last week.
Nanis is created in Vicenza, Italy, and led by designer Laura Bicego, sister of designer Marco Bicego. As second generation members of the jewelry business, both have learned and mastered the art of hand-engraving.
The Nanis brand is engraved using a special burin engraver, an ancient tool currently used only by a select number of craftspeople. It achieves deeper cuts in the metal for a more natural look and lasting finish.
