JVC Begins Search for Gardner’s Successor
The Jewelers Vigilance Committee has convened a search committee to replace President and CEO Cecilia Gardner, who will step down next year.

New York--The Jewelers Vigilance Committee’s board of directors has convened a search committee to find a replacement for Cecilia Gardner.
Back in April, Gardner announced that she will step down as the JVC’s president and CEO in 2017 but might remain the organization’s general counsel and plans to continue practicing law.
Gardner has been with the JVC for almost 19 years.
The JVC said for the president and CEO role, it is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Candidates must have worked as a practicing attorney and, while it is not required, experience in litigation is preferred. Not-for-profit management experience also is a plus.
The organization’s new CEO will create new programs and strategies for the organization’s success and help maintain ethics and integrity standards in the jewelry industry through monitoring and education.
The JVC requests that resumes be sent to jvcsearchcommittee@gmail.com; no faxes or calls.
