Las Vegas--Those who have not yet seen the documentary Sharing the Rough, which follows the story of a single gemstone from mine to finished design, will have another chance to do so in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Guild of the American Gem Society will show the documentary on Sunday, June 5 at the Sumerlin Library & Performing Arts Center on Inner Circle Drive.
It’s first come, first served; doors will open at 3 p.m. and the show is expected to start at 3:30 p.m.
The event will be free of charge, as it’s sponsored by the American Gem Society and Jewelers Mutual.
Some of the film’s cast will be in attendance, as will director Orin Mazzoni.
The event also will include the opportunity to donate to the Devon Foundation, which helps bring gemology and lapidary education to gem mining communities in Africa.
