Casio America Announces New CEO
The newly appointed executive has been with the company since 1991.

He succeeds Makoto Ori, who assumed the role in January 2021 and will be taking on a new role within Casio.
Kato’s new role will be focused on shaping U.S. strategy and operations for Casio America, the U.S. subsidiary of Tokyo-based Casio Computer Co. Ltd.
Kato started his career with the Tokyo company in 1991.
In his new position, Kato will also pursue enhancing customer satisfaction, accelerating market share growth, and driving technological innovation, as well as aligning U.S. operations with Casio's worldwide initiatives, the company said.
Casio said Kato has made “significant strides within the company” in business development of European and North American markets.
He has worked in multiple divisions throughout his 32-year career at the company, including holding the title of managing director of Casio Europe.
"It's an immense privilege to be taking the helm at Casio America,” Kato said.
“I am eager to build on our robust legacy while spearheading our pursuit of cutting-edge innovation and superior customer satisfaction. With a dedicated team and a brand recognized for its creativity and contribution, I am confident that Casio’s future in America is bright."
