Hindman Auctions Names New Palm Beach Jewelry, Timepieces Specialist
April Matteini joins with more than 25 years of jewelry appraisal and auction house experience.
April Matteini joins the Hindman Auctions team with more than two decades of experience, having served in roles at Bonhams and Skinner.
Palm Beach, Florida—Hindman Auctions has appointed April Matteini as a specialist for jewelry and timepieces in its Palm Beach, Florida office.
Matteini is a graduate gemologist who specializes in evaluating and appraising fine antiques, estate jewelry, and gemstones and has more than 25 years of experience.
Prior to this role, she served as Bonhams’ vice president for the Florida region and the regional director for Skinner. In both positions, she expanded the auction houses’ presence in Florida, sourced items for auction, and offered appraisal services for everything from individual pieces to entire estates.
At Hindman, she will provide streamlined services for the company’s jewelry clients throughout Florida.

Her outstanding auction experience and passion for jewelry is sure to be invaluable as we continue to develop the department and grow our Palm Beach team,” said Director of Jewelry & Timepieces Sally Klarr. “We are looking forward to connecting more Florida area clients with April.”
Hindman holds more than 100 auctions every year and appraises thousands of objects annually.
Including Palm Beach, it has 13 offices across the country.
