Report: John Hardy to Open First US Standalone Store
A real estate publication is reporting that the store will be in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, an area with heavy foot traffic.
New York--A news report published earlier this week indicates that John Hardy is opening its first standalone store in the United States, on Prince Street in New York’s SoHo neighborhood.
The Commercial Observer, a real estate publication, reported Tuesday that the jewelry brand’s new location will be at 118 Prince St., taking all three floors of the building as part of a “long-term lease.”
The story stated that John Hardy opted for a space in SoHo because of the area’s heavy foot traffic. Alex and Ani, Tous, Tiffany & Co., Alexis Bittar and Melissa Joy Manning are among the jewelry brands that have set up shop in the same neighborhood.
John Hardy would not confirm to National Jeweler that it had signed a lease for a store at 118 Prince St., but the brand, which currently sells it jewelry through independent jewelers and large department stores, did confirm that it currently has no standalone stores in the U.S.
