Winners named in lab-grown diamond design contest
Six winners have been named in the inaugural Rebel Chique Design Competition, which asked entrants to create jewelry using Rebel Chique Diamonds, Royal Asscher’s lab-grown diamond brand.

New York--The six winners of the first Rebel Chique Design Competition have been announced, a contest that asked entrants to design a piece using Royal Asscher’s new line of lab-grown diamonds.
Royal Asscher first introduced its Rebel Chique Diamonds line earlier this year, which features 18-karat white gold jewelry with colorless, blue, red, yellow, orange and rose-colored synthetic diamonds. The collection is sold exclusively online.
Designers from 11 countries entered the competition, for which there were six categories. The winners are as follows.
Necklace category: Georgia Teng, Philippines
Ring: Amelia Rachim, Italy
Bracelet: Annie Fensterstock, New York
Earrings: Bimal Koley, Dubai
Menswear: Teng
“Rebelwear:” Alison Nagasue, United States
The contest was intended to attract international design talent to Rebel Chique diamonds, which “rebel against staid diamond designs,” Royal Asscher said.
The winning designs will be put into production and sold on the Rebel Chique Diamonds website.
