Two Arrested in Homicide at California Store
San Bernardino police took two men, 28 and 23, into custody last month.
Highland, Calif.--Police have arrested two men in the Molotov cocktail attack and homicide at a pawn and jewelry store in Highland, California last month.
The Jewelers Security Alliance said Friday that 28-year-old Brandon Hall and 23-year-old Darcell Harris were arrested in the shooting at Highland Pawn in which Jason Cullen was killed.
The two suspects are accused of entering Highland Pawn on the afternoon of Jan. 10, throwing a Molotov cocktail on the counter and then opening fire.
Cullen pulled out his own gun and fired back.
The suspects fled, but not before the 32-year-old, who is the son of the store’s owners, was hit in the abdomen. He died the following day.
Two employees suffered burn injuries as a result of the Molotov cocktail.
Though the JSA was offering a $10,000 reward in the case, it was DNA evidence that provided the vital information that led to their arrest.
Cullen’s death was the first homicide of a jeweler in 2018, the JSA said.
