Ethical Metalsmiths Partners With Christina T. Miller
The non-profit is offering a discount on the consultant’s new course.
Through the affiliate partnership, EM is offering a 10 percent discount on the $97 course to anyone who registers on their website. The non-profit will receive a commission from these sales. The enrollment deadline is July 31.
EM said the online course, described as an “introduction to how to approach responsible sourcing for jewelry makers,” is designed for jewelers who are just getting started, such as students, recent graduates, and new business owners.
It’s made up of four video lessons and includes an assessment, downloadable transcripts and recordings, a private online forum for students to communicate with each other, and an “Office Hours” webinar at the end of the course for the CMC team to provide additional resources.
“Everyone’s journey with responsible and sustainable jewelry is different. No matter where you are, you can start taking steps today to help shape a jewelry industry we can all truly be proud of,” said Miller.
Miller is a sustainable jewelry consultant focused on “providing strategy, guidance and impact measurement to jewelers,” according to her biography page. She launched “Better Without Mercury” and “Radical Jewelry Makeover,” and she’s also a co-founder of EM, which got its start in 2004.
In 2015, she founded her consulting agency. It’s made up of a team with 18 years of experience in the responsible and sustainable jewelry space.
CMC launched the course in 2022 and now offers it three times per year.
EM Executive Director Barbara Wheat said she and EM President Christina Malle have taken the course.
“We share Christina's passion for creating jewelry products with the mindset of having a positive impact on people working in these areas while looking for ways to have a lower environmental impact,” Wheat said.
