Virtual Diamond Boutique Is the First to Launch JBT’s New API
It allows JBT members to access credit information within the marketplace.
An API is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other, according to Salesforce.
The new API integration with VDB allows JBT member buyers and sellers to run credit reports and obtain credit ratings on potential clients within the app.
JBT members signed into their VDB accounts will also be able to log into the member portal to access credit information without leaving the app.
Additionally, all JBT members will be identified with the organization’s logo in various places across VDB.
There are no additional charges to use the new feature in the VDB marketplace.
Anyone in the jewelry industry can register for a free VDB login, but a paid JBT account is needed to access the credit information.
“Having the highly respected JBT credit ratings available on the VDB app will add a layer of security and credibility to our digital marketplace,” said Tanya Nisguretsky, CEO of VDB.
“Our industry-specific technological experts have created a unique usage for the new JBT API that aligns perfectly with the need for more transparency in our increasingly digital world. It also streamlines the process, making it easy and efficient for vendors to accept buy/memo/hold requests, even when out of the office.”
