How about a little love for men’s jewelry in the AGTA Spectrum Awards this week?
On Tuesday, the American Gem Trade Association announced the winners of the latest edition of the Spectrum Awards, its annual competition for designs that are colored gemstone focused.
California-based jewelry designer Ricardo Basta, an annual Spectrum contender, took home two awards.
He won the top prize in the men’s wear category for this 18-karat yellow gold and black rhodium ring set with a 7.50-carat starburst trapiche sapphire accented with 0.64 carats of black diamonds and 0.52 carats of yellow sapphires.
Basta also took first place in the Bridal Wear category for a ring featuring a 12.62-carat heart-shaped blue zircon topped with a much smaller heart-shaped diamond.
